Each card names the official notice and year we checked. Rules change every cycle - confirm with your own application notice and use Custom Rule for exact limits.
SSC CGL (2026 notice)
Photo (CGL 2026 notice): captured live in the application portal - no file to upload
Signature: JPEG 10–20 KB • the 2026 notice says about 6 × 2 cm in its main text and about 4 × 2 cm in Annexure-IV
Current SSC forms take a live photo in the application portal - only the signature file is uploaded. Pre-2025 upload values are reference only.
UPSC CSE (2026 CAF)
Photo (CSE 2026 / CAF): JPG 20–200 KB • 3/4 face coverage • plain white background • plus a live photo in the form
Signature: triple signature (sign 3 times, black ink) • JPG 20–100 KB • 350–500 px
Face must cover 3/4 of the photo, plain white background, both ears visible. The portal also captures a live photo and matches it with the upload.
IBPS PO/MT-XVI (CRP 2026)
Photo (CRP PO/MT-XVI 2026): 200 × 230 px preferred • 20–50 KB • plus live capture
Signature: 140 × 60 px • 10–20 KB • JPEG
Recent colour photo, no cap, no goggles. Sign with black ink on white paper. Thumb impression 240 × 240 px (20–50 KB) and handwritten declaration 800 × 400 px (50–100 KB) are also uploaded.
NEET UG (2026)
Photo (NEET UG 2026): JPG 10–200 KB • 80% face • white background • taken after 1 Jan 2026
Signature: JPG 10–100 KB
A live photo is also captured in the form.
RRB NTPC (CEN 06/2026)
Photo (CEN 06/2026): captured live in the application form - no file to upload
Signature: JPG 30–49 KB • minimum 140 × 60 px • black ink, running handwriting
The live photo is matched with your photo ID. Specs read from a mirrored copy of the official CEN PDF (rrb.gov.in was unreachable) - confirm on your RRB site.

Perfect photo checklist
- Plain white or light background, no shadows
- Face straight to the camera, both ears visible
- No cap, sunglasses or heavy filters
- Good daylight, no flash glare on the face
- Signature in black or blue ink on plain white paper, no lines
- Keep the photo recent (within 3 months)
